Go around the house in a counterclockwise direction, wafting the smoke into every corner and closet. Arguably one of the most popular ways to give a home good energy, smudging is the ancient technique of burning sage and walking it through your space. Clean your front door and the entryway thoroughly, sprinkling cinnamon around the entrance to welcome opportunities and abundance. For this, begin in the room to the right of the front door. Crystals need to be cleansed, just the same as your home. First, take a long look at all of the things in your life that do not serve you. In this context, "do not serve" means that they cause you more sadness, anxiety, or annoyance than they bring joy.
A cluttered house leads to chaotic energy and troubled feelings. You may even want to rearrange your furniture to promote a better flow of air, light, and fresh energy. The beauty of this kind of spiritual cleansing is that you can do a visualization practice anytime and anywhere. You can cleanse crystals by leaving them out in direct sunlight or moonlight, washing them in salt water, or smudging them. Not all crystals will be suitable for spiritual cleansing. Meditate with your crystals, or place them around your house where you feel negative energies or you wish to cultivate positive energies.

If the smoke rises in a clear column, the energy is flowing.
